SERVING THE AUTOMOBILE SECTOR IN PORTUGAL, ESPECIALLY IN THE AREAS OF TESTING AND PROCESS ENGINEERING, IS THE MISSION OF ISQ&CTAG AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGIES, A JOINT VENTURE THAT AIMS TO BE A LEADING LABORATORY IN EUROPE.
The largest automotive components testing laboratory in Europe. This is the recognition that ISQ&CTAG Automotive Technologies aspires to, in a context in which to speak of the car of the future is to speak of a demanding and rigorous industry, without much margin for error, but to which are added the challenges associated with the next generations of vehicles.
These challenges faced by the automotive industry migrate from the large manufacturers to the entire value chain, including the Validation Laboratories, which have never been faced with such high and demanding challenges. And it is in the face of these challenges that ISQ&CTAG wishes to assert itself as a laboratory fully capable of validating the components and subsystems of the automobile, which will be integrated in the next generations of more intelligent, eco-efficient, sustainable, recyclable and autonomous vehicles.
In this context, and to address these and other challenges, ISQ and the Centro Tecnológico de Automoción de Galicia (CTAG) – together in a joint venture since 2020 – strengthen their collaboration in the realisation and management of projects for the automotive sector, taking advantage of the historical synergies between the two entities, which stand out for the quality of the services performed.
TESTING AND PROCESS ENGINEERING
A Portuguese company created in 2020, ISQ&CTAG Automotive Technologies arose from the founders’ desire to consolidate the existing partnership between both entities and to create new expertise to serve the automotive sector in Portugal, namely in two major areas of activity: testing and process engineering.
An initiative that arises, on the one hand, in the advent of Industry 4.0 and all the challenges it poses to the automotive industry and, on the other hand, in the approach to the Automotive Industry in Portugal and Galicia, through a positioning and proximity to one of the emerging markets, not only for ISQ&CTAG, but also for the founding partners.
Installed in the north of the country, in Monção, in the area of testing, it provides an extensive range of services in reliability testing, corrosion and protection index testing, physical-chemical and materials. Already in the area of process engineering, it provides services that cover all kinds of needs of factories in the automotive sector, related to Process Improvement, Digitalization, Robotization, Automation, Products for Processes and Support and Consultancy.
This work stands out for its differentiation and has recently been recognised by the Portuguese Accreditation Institute (IPAC) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).
